2027 Schedule Feedback To better accommodate families and the shorter summer break, we are considering changing LPRT's format next summer to a full-time, condensed theater camp. This schedule would potentially give families an additional three weeks of vacation before school begins. Before making this change, we'd love to hear from you. Your feedback will help us determine whether this proposed schedule would work well for the majority of our families. Auditions Auditions would take place in late April. Families would submit singing and dance audition materials online, after learning the choreography and the song. Practice videos will be posted backstage. We would also hold two required in-person auditions for singing and dance callbacks and reading from the script, with two options available: Two evening sessions Two weekend sessions The show would be cast in early May and the script would be sent out so that actors can start learning their lines before rehearsals start. There are two options for the rehearsal and performance structure. Both include the following: All actors attend LPRT Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. With the restructuring of our program, there will be NO rehearsal nor performance conflicts allowed. When actors are not in a song, scene, or dance that is being rehearsed, they will participate in theater camp activities at the Ben Lomond Library and Ben Lomond Park. We are also exploring partnerships with additional local organizations to provide enrichment opportunities, such as visual arts programming through the Santa Cruz Mountains Art Center. Please choose the option that best works for your ideal summer. OPTION ONE Rehearsals would begin Monday, June 7. Rehearsals would be June 7-17. Scene or dance review would be Friday, June 18.
