Rehearsal Information & Structure
Everything happens at Park Hall, 9400 Mill Street in Ben Lomond (next door to Ben Lomond Market).
Arrival and Departure Times
If your child is scheduled to arrive at 9:30 a.m., please don’t drop him /her off early! There will be no one there to supervise them before that time. The staff needs any time prior to 9:30 a.m. to prepare for the day and children will not be admitted inside Park Hall until 9:30 a.m. Similarly, afternoon session children should be picked up promptly at 3:00 p.m.; no child can be left unsupervised. (There is an overtime fee of $1/minute if you arrive after 3:00 p.m.)
If your child is walking/bike-riding home, we need a note of permission from you before we can let any child go home unsupervised.
Snacks & Lunches
PLEASE: NO gum, candy, caffeinated drinks or soft drinks. If it’s an all-day rehearsal, send a snack plus a brown bag lunch. Youngsters will not be allowed to go to the store during the day without their parent. Also please send your actor with a reusable water bottle, since we have no drinking fountain in the Hall.
We have no permanent telephone available at Park Hall, so please arrange pick-up times, etc., ahead of time. A cell phone number for emergencies only will be given out at our mandatory parent meeting.
Audition Week: June 8-11
You will sign up your child for either the morning or afternoon program. Programs are 9:30am-Noon or 12:30-3:00pm, Monday through Wednesday. Actors must be available during audition week. We request that actors stay in the same program the first 3 days. On Thursday, June 11 all actors are called all day, 9:30am-3:00pm.
Rehearsals: June 12 – July 14
The first rehearsal (Friday, June 12) will be an all cast, all day rehearsal (9:30-3:00). It will be the first time the kids are all together in a group. We do some group exercises, and we go over the script and music. All actors are required to attend.
June 15-July 2
Rehearsal sessions are 9:30am-Noon or 12:30-3:00 p.m. Most actors do not have to come every day until Friday, July 3. Participants are scheduled for rehearsal based on the group/character in which they’re cast. It is typical for participants to be called to rehearsal on a limited basis during the first 3 weeks of rehearsal (June 15-July 2). During this time period we ask that actors miss no more than three (3) rehearsals.
July 3 and July 6-13
This time frame is more structured. From here forward we ask that actors NOT miss any rehearsals.
- Friday, July 3: all cast – all scenes (9:30-3:00)
- Monday, July 6: all cast – dance review (9:30-3:00)
- Tuesday, July 7: all cast – music review (actors will only be called for numbers they’re in)
- Wednesday, July 8: cd recording (same schedule as Tuesday)
- Thursday, July 9: all cast – run-through (9:30-3:00)
- Friday, July 10: all cast – continue run-through and costume parade (9:30-3:00)
The week of July 13 is opening week:

- Tuesday: EVENING dress rehearsal (no day rehearsal)
- Wednesday: opening night, no daytime rehearsal
- Thursday: evening show, no daytime rehearsal
