Rehearsal Information & Structure
Location
Everything happens at Park Hall, 9400 Mill Street in Ben Lomond (next door to Ben Lomond Market).
Arrival and Departure Times
If your child is scheduled to arrive at 9:30 a.m., please don’t drop him /her off early! There will be no one there to supervise them before that time. The staff needs any time prior to 9:30 a.m. to prepare for the day and children will not be admitted inside Park Hall until 9:30 a.m. Similarly, afternoon session children should be picked up promptly at 3:00 p.m.; no child can be left unsupervised. (There is an overtime fee of $1/minute if you arrive after 3:00 p.m.)
Walking Home
If your child is walking/bike-riding home, we need a note of permission from you before we can let any child go home unsupervised.
Snacks & Lunches
PLEASE: NO gum, candy, caffeinated drinks or soft drinks. If it’s an all-day rehearsal, send a snack plus a brown bag lunch. Youngsters will not be allowed to go to the store during the day without their parent. Also please send your actor with a reusable water bottle, since we have no drinking fountain in the Hall.
Phone Calls
We have no permanent telephone available at Park Hall, so please arrange pick-up times, etc., ahead of time. A cell phone number for emergencies only will be given out at our mandatory parent meeting.
Parent Meeting: TBD
We will meet virtually (via Zoom) to go over the program, and answer any questions.
Audition Week: June 12-15
You will sign up your child for either the morning or afternoon program. Programs are 9:30am-Noon or 12:30-3:00pm, Monday through Wednesday. For the Thursday rehearsal, all actors are called ALL DAY (9:30-3:00). Actors must be available during audition week. We request that actors stay in the same program the first 3 days.
Rehearsals: June 16-July 6
First Rehearsal (Friday, June 17)
The first rehearsal will be an all cast, all day rehearsal (9:30-3:00). It will be the first time the kids are all together in a group. We do some group exercises, and we go over the script and music. All actors are required to attend.
June 19-July 6
Rehearsal sessions are 9:30am-Noon or 12:30-3:00 p.m. Participants are scheduled for rehearsal based on the group/character in which they’re cast. It is typical for participants to be called to rehearsal on a limited basis during the first 3 weeks of rehearsal. During this time period we ask that actors miss no more than three (3) rehearsals.
